We have been hearing about Purgatory Chasm in Sutton, MA for a few years so we decided to take a trip. The temperature was warm with clear skies and a nice breeze. The drive up was quick, about 35 minutes from where we live. Once we arrived, we purchased a parking pass, parked the car and set off.
The air at the bottom was much cooler than at the top. The trail is good for all ages, just watch your step. Some people also had dogs, both on and off leashes. It was a good day but Purgatory Chasm is a very popular place with heavy traffic. We will be back to explore further!
